We all have the power to change our worlds at any time. And often, it can be quicker and easier than you imagine.
That said, here are 20 of the best ways I’ve personally tried, tested, and experienced for creating more “success” (by boosting my energy, gaining clarity, and ditching bad habits).
20 Ways to Create More “Success”
#1: Wake up on time. There’s a great “just out of reach” alarm clock strategy for this that I use so I don’t sleep in and start my day out feeling guilty.
#2: Declare that “today will be the best day of my life, and I will move through challenges quickly and easily” every morning. This sets the tone for how you interpret your experience throughout the day.
#3: Start your day out with natural vitamins/minerals & a healthy smoothie. After trying a bunch of different options from green tea to protein powder, and energy drinks to nootropics, I’ve settled on Thrive. Starting their natural health program is probably the best thing I’ve done for myself in the past year. #4: Tell yourself 20 positive things in the shower. Express gratitude, set intentions for how you will live your day, and remind yourself of your keys to success.
#5: Be grateful for shelter, water, food, and clothing, along with the many other luxuries we have in life. Not everyone is so lucky.
#6: Move throughout the day. Get your blood pumping with a walk, push ups, dancing, yoga – whatever works for you. This is especially critical if you work at a computer (like me) all day.
#7: Read something positive every morning. I like to re-read something inspiring for 10-20 minutes every morning while drinking my morning smoothie. It gets the brain wheels turning.
#8: Work in chunks and take breaks throughout the day. There’s a lot of science behind the idea of working in focused chunks, and then resting. I use 50 minute work time blocks, with 10 minute breaks to move, nap, relax, or whatever.
#9: Before bed, declare that “I will now enter the most restful and beneficial sleep state possible.” This helps to calm your mind and reminds you not to problem solve throughout the night rather than sleep.
#10: Be impeccable with your word. Thoughts create words. Words create actions. Actions create results. Be aware of your language throughout the day, and consistently choose to improve your impeccability.
#11: Don’t make assumptions. As they say, “assuming” makes an ass out of you and me. Gather all the facts, and ask good questions before making decisions and taking actions. This will save you a world of trouble.
#12: Don’t take things personally. Understand and accept that every single person is living in their own “world”, and how they see things is a reflection of how they see themselves.
#13: Always do your best. As my old man used to say, “you get out what you put in”.
#14: Own your experience by declaring that “I am exactly where I am meant to be in life. All of my experiences – both positive and negative – have led me here for a purpose.”
#15: Choose to make positive changes sooner rather than later. It only gets harder and more painful the longer you wait.
#16: Continually invest in yourself. YOU are your own greatest asset. Invest in your health, your education, and your happiness.
#17: Seek fulfillment rather than instant gratification. If you look back at your own experience, you’ll find that choices made for long term success worked out better than choices giving into instant gratification.
#18: Seek positive role models of success. Find people who are living and working how you would like to live and work, and “borrow” aspects from them. No one is perfect, but you can learn something from everyone.
#19: Spend alone time in nature. The more we have going on, the harder it is to get outside. However, this is one of the best ways to rejuvenate, release stress, and center yourself.
#20: Meditate, pray, dance… whatever. Get in touch with God, the Universe, Source, Great Mystery, whatever or whoever works for you on a daily basis. Feeling into and growing this connection is critical for expanding your intuition, creativity, and ultimately… yourself.
